Learning outcomes:
• Learn the basic scientific principles of modern Ukrainian literary language on the lexical, grammatical and phonetic levels;
• Learn the basic lexical and grammatical categories and be able to use them in the communication process;
• Develop skills in the culture of oral and written language and the norms of modern Ukrainian literary language;
• Master the scientific principles of modern spelling and use them in the process of communication;
• Master the basic forms of Ukrainian speech etiquette;
• Learn the basics of preparing business documents in Ukrainian;
• Using the means of professional and business language, draft samples of official papers;
• Develop skills in the stylistic editing of text and practical translation.

Summary of the subject:
Stylistic and practical aspects of modern Ukrainian literary language; the stages of its formation and development; its role as official and business language in the public life of Ukrainian people; the place of Ukrainian language among other Slavic and European languages; Linguistic characteristics (properties) of modern Ukrainian language, sources of its enrichment and improvement, phonetic and lexical norms, official and business style; the requirements for business communication, the basic principles of design and stylistic processing of official papers.
