As the result of the discipline study, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:

Approximately 3500 words of Japanese language, the basics of grammar, writing system, more than 1,000 hieroglyphs, which will allow to communicate in Japanese with all kinds of speech activity on the following topics: about myself, my family, home, my studies, my workday, Ukraine, Japan, native city, travel, tour, post office, shop, hotel, services for everyday life, my profession, research etc.

Prerequisites: “Modern Japanese” Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4
Corequisites: “Lingvocultural Aspects of Translation (Japanese)” Part 1; “Stylistics of Modern Japanese” Part 1
Summary of the subject:
Advice; Possibility; Simultaneous actions; Complete and incomplete performance; Plans, intentions; The question of content; An appeal to the example; Voluntarism expressions; Passive sentences; Contracting interrogative sentence; Levels of politeness in Japanese language.

Learning outcomes:
- ability to apply knowledge of the characteristics of business communication and conducting professional communication, features of speech skills formation in Ukrainian / foreign languages.
- ability to acquire new knowledge independently, to critically assess the experience from the standpoint of the latest philological and social practice achievements .
- ability to perform phonological, semantic, lexicological, morphological and syntactic analysis of linguistic material; to analyze different types of discourse/text.
- ability to translate, review and annotate multi-genre texts in state and foreign languages
- ability to edit multi-genre texts in Ukrainian and German languages.
- ability to communicate in Ukrainian and German, both orally and in written form; ability to use a variety of methods, including information technologies for effective professional communication
- ability to apply knowledge and understanding of laws and methods of interpersonal communication, norms of tolerance, of business communication in the professional sphere, effective team work, adaptability.
- ability to adapt to new situations and to make decisions; to realize the necessity of lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired proficient skills and to gain new professional knowledge; to take responsibility for the work performed and to achieve goals in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics.

Summary of the subject:
On what matters are we wasting our time? Leisure activities: visiting museums, fine arts. Labour and employment. Professional activities. Translators: the advantages and disadvantages. Books as a source of information. The history of the Media. Television and the Internet. Advertising: history of development and the impact on the consumer. Advertising of goods.
