Learning outcomes:
As the result of the discipline study, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:
to know general features of translation from Japanese;
to be able to translate texts of general character from Japanese to Ukrainian, using vocabulary.
Required prior and related subjects:
Prerequisites: “Modern Japanese” Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7; “Practice of Translation (Japanese)” Part 1.
Corequisites: “Japan Studies” Part 4; “Modern Japanese” Part 8
Summary of the subject:
Translation of texts of journalistic, scientific and artistic styles. Translation of scientific and newspaper articles and news. Translation of tales.

Learning outcomes:
• proper understanding and respect for multiculturalism and diversity; ability to communicate in German; ability to make informed decisions;
• ability to demonstrate knowledge of modern scientific linguistic methods, which are used in lexicography, cognitive linguistics, sociolinguistics, terminology, machine translation;
• ability to demonstrate knowledge of the features of translation as a special kind of communication taking into account objective and subjective factors in it, the main types of translation.

• Basics of applied linguistics, Modern German (part 1-6), Basics of cultural linguistic, Linguistic and cultural aspects of the German translation.
• Peculiarities of terms translation, Translation of scientific and technical texts, Modern German (part 7).
Summary of the subject:
Translation of sentences with Partizip I and Partizip II. Translation of speech patterns "zu + Partizip I" (Gerundivum). Translation of Complex sentences with Attributive Relative Clause, Conditional and Suppositional Moods. Translation of sentences with direct and indirect speech. Translation of tense forms of the Subjunctive I and II.
