Learning outcomes:
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of fundamental philosophical theories and concepts in the field of Humanities and Social and Economic Sciences, ethical and legal norms governing interpersonal relationship as well as people’s attitude to environment;
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of language as a social phenomenon, its relationship to mind, culture and social development of people; the fundamental relationship between language and world; the origin and development of language, its levels; the basic units of language and speech; functional language properties;
- Ability to apply knowledge of principles of conducting business and professional communication, speech skills forming features in Ukrainian and foreign languages.

Summary of the subject:
Verb patterns. Participles and participle clauses. Infinitive patterns and clauses. Common expressions and word order. Negative and question forms. Relative clauses. Conjunctions and linking expressions. Word combinations and collocations. The grammar of formal English. The grammar of spoken English.
